Techniques For Properly Aiming Darts
Due to the length a dart needs to travel in flight, it is recommended to tilt the dart slightly upwards versus directly forward at the board. Darts should fly in what is called a parabolic curve, which means it has two symmetrical curves - upwards when it leaves your hand and back down when it reaches the dartboard.
The curve will vary in how high or low it is depending on a number of factors such as angle and the force it is thrown. It is best to just tilt the dart slightly upward between 5-10 degrees and determine the proper force through practice. If your dart is falling too low at the end of the flight, you are likely not throwing the dart with enough force. |
