21 Darts Game
This is an excellent game to hone your accuracy skills when throwing darts for practice. You can play this game as a single player or against someone else, and is very similar to the popular Cricket game. The name Twenty One comes from the objective of the game: to hit each of the 7 numbers on the scoreboard at least 3 times (7 x 3), totaling 21 points. Since double rings and triple rings are in play, this doesn't mean you have to hit your target 3 times in a row to meet this objective.
Rules for How to Play 21 Darts Game
This game starts with a coin flip to determine which player shoots first. Similar to standard Cricket, the target areas are 20-15 and the bull’s-eye. However, the twist to Twenty One is that your first turn you shoot 3 darts at the only target area of the number 20. The second round, 19 is the new target area and on down the list with each new turn. The final turn is the bulls eye target and also has the most point value. A single hit on a number counts as one hit and should be marked with a single slash (/). The double ring on the very outside of the board counts as two hits (X), and the triple ring around the middle of the board counts as three hits (O). The outer bulls eye counts as one and the inner bulls eye counts as two.
When the last bulls eye round is complete, total up all of your points down the board with each hit counting as the point value associated next to it. If a tie should occur, the typical tie breaker is to either play a single dart for closest to bulls eye or the first one to hit a bulls eye. |
